Training is an integral part of the curriculum of naval architecture. It is imperative that students should have enough exposure to industry to excel in their respective fields. To understand the various facets of naval architecture and ship production and to gain practical experience, students are sent to various shipyards and other technical institutes every year. The industrial training is usually done for a period of 45 days during the month of May-June. Apart from Indian shipyards students also visit foreign shipyards anda institutes especially in the Middle East and Korea.
